The Workshop aims to develop expertise in and encourage the practice of methods and techniques of data collection and analysis in social research.

The Workshop has a Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) facility and specialises in all phases of telephone and web surveys: methodological planning, sampling planning, questionnaire production, survey monitoring, data analysis, report production and results presentation.

The Workshop also supports the Department’s teaching activities.
